Why Your Views Don't Define Your Success
If you've ever posted a video and refreshed your screen every few minutes waiting for the views to go up...
You're not alone.
Social media has a way of making us believe that numbers determine our progress.
You must be doing something wrong.
Maybe you're improving.
Now you're finally "successful."
But here's what I've been learning...
Views don't always tell the whole story.
Over the last few months, I've had videos perform well and others barely get seen.
At first, it was discouraging.
I questioned whether I should keep posting.
I wondered if I was wasting my time.
Then I realized something.
Every post teaches me something.
Every blog article improves my writing.
Every piece of content helps me practice.
Every video makes me a little more comfortable on camera.
Those skills don't disappear just because a post doesn't go viral.
The truth is, algorithms change.
Platforms change.
But the skills you build stay with you.
That's why I continue creating.
Not because every post performs perfectly.
But because every post helps me become a better creator.
If you're just getting started, here's my advice:
Stop measuring your success by today's views.
Start measuring it by the skills you're building.
One day you'll look back and realize those small, consistent steps helped shape the person you've become.
Confidence isn't built by going viral.
It's built by showing up, learning, and trying again.
Keep creating.
Keep learning.
Keep growing.
